Whatever design or ideas you choose, just be sure to include the following pertinent information:

- The date and time of the shower
- Location and directions
- Name of mother-to-be and host(s), if any
- R.S.V.P. date and phone number
- If the guest of honor is registered anywhere
- Sex of the baby if known
- Any extra details guests should know such as specific gift instructions or a set theme to follow

You may also want to include a few, cute poems or sayings about babies such as one of these:

1.
John and Jane's new baby is on the way!
Let's help them prepare for the big day!

2.
Ten tiny fingers,
Ten tiny toes,
Girl or boy?
Nobody knows!

3.
It's raining, it's pouring,
Soon, a new baby we'll be adoring!
Join our celebration at a baby shower for Jane Smith!

The images produced by ultrasounds today can be incredibly realistic, and what better way to let everyone know of the upcoming event by giving them all baby's very first picture?

If you want to add yet another truly modern spin to your baby shower, consider eschewing traditional invitations altogether and send them electronically via email.
